Exam Pattern & Competition Analysis

  • Online Written Test (120 Marks):
    • Reasoning: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
    • General English: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
    • General Awareness: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
    • Numerical Ability: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
    • Total Duration: 90 Minutes.
    • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
  • Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Qualifying in nature. You will be tested on the local language.
    • Conducted in the local language of the zone you applied for.
    • It typically involves reading a passage, writing a small letter/essay, and a basic conversation.

Work Profile

Despite being a "Class IV" post, it is considered one of the most dignified support roles in the banking sector. Your primary duties include:

  • Document Management: Carrying files and official papers between different departments.
  • Office Maintenance: Ensuring the officer's desks are organized and stationery is replenished.
  • Assistance: Opening/closing cabins, operating photocopiers, and assisting Class III (Assistant) and Class I (Officer) staff with administrative tasks.
  • No Cleaning: Unlike common myths, this is not a cleaning or sweeping job; RBI hires separate agencies for housekeeping.
